New Patients

Harden Dental Surgery welcomes new patients of all ages, for both private and NHS dentistry. To fulfil our mission statement of providing the highest standard of dental care, we use the latest equipment and advanced techniques, as well as ensuring all treatments are tailored to your individual needs. Moreover, we also work continuously to ensure optimum levels of cross infection control are maintained at our surgery.

To book your first appointment, please telephone our friendly reception team on 01922 493896 or complete our appointment request form online. Please be assured, we do our utmost to provide an appointment at the most convenient time for you. We also ask that all patients arrive for their first appointment between 10-15 minutes early to ensure there is enough time to complete a medical history form.

The dentist will carry out a thorough examination of your teeth, gums, and surrounding structures, and will ask if there are any specific concerns such as toothache or bleeding gums that have brought you into the practice. They will check any existing crowns, bridges, dentures etc to make sure they are still in prime condition, and if deemed necessary, they will take photographs and X-rays. Furthermore, as early detection is paramount, we also check for oral cancer as standard. If anything suspicious is found, we will refer you to a hospital consultant.

Should we find you need treatment, we will provide you with a treatment plan, including an outline of projected costs. If you are interested in cosmetic dentistry, we will find out your aesthetic concerns and needs and include these in your treatment plan.

Emergencies

If you have a dental emergency and you are a registered patient with us, we will endeavour to see you the same day where possible. If you have an emergency out of hours that cannot wait until the surgery re-opens, our practice answerphone will give you all the necessary information to get help.
